Aga is a photographer who loves adventure and travel into the unknown; her journeys allow her to explore unique stories in diverse communities. She is passionate about documenting lesser-known and endangered cultures’ rich heritage and rituals through her photography, illustrating how these traditions intersect with modern knowledge.
Photography, for Aga, is not just about capturing images; it’s a journey of self-discovery. Her personal experiences shape her view of the world and inspire the stories she wants to tell. Aga began her professional career while living in Thailand as a fight photographer, where she combined her passion for Muay Thai and photography by covering fight events for Rawai Muay Thai. Her professional career expanded into working with organizations such as Yokkao and the World Muaythai Federation (WMF). Later, she relocated to Indonesia and South Africa, where she continued to expand her career as a scientist and photographer. Aga’s work with different NGOs and as an independent contributor is not just about capturing the essence of the people she photographs but also about actively supporting human rights movements and conservation efforts.
Collaboration is not just a part of Aga’s work; it’s its essence. She thrives on partnering with colloquies, grassroots organizations, and NGOs to support human rights, environmental protection, and conservation efforts. Through her photography, Aga strives to honor the incredible people she meets and advocate for preserving their cultural heritage. She believes that together, with your support, we can make a significant difference.
Her images have been showcased in numerous exhibitions and have earned several awards, including the Atlas of Humanity (2023 – ongoing), AAP (2024 – ongoing), BIFA/PX3 (2024 – ongoing), reFocus Awards (2023 – ongoing), Muse and Monochrome Awards (2023 – ongoing), Pollux (2020), Julia Margaret Cameron Award (2019 and 2020), Monovision Award (2022), Dodho (2017), and IPA (2015). Aga began her professional career as a fight photographer in Thailand, where she developed a deep passion for Muay Thai.
